BPBible is a Bible Study tool with search, commentaries, dictionary, glosary, maps, images, etc. It has four principal components, books window, bible text, commentaries, and dictionary. In the book window you can search or select from the list the book you wish to study. The Bible text shows the complete text of the book you have selected. The comentary window shows the commentaries (it depends on the modules you install). The dictionary window has tree components: the resutls window, the search window and the alphabetic list of words. Latest version is 0.4. After installing bpbible you will need to install the SWORD modules. You have to go to http://www.crosswire.org/sword/modules/index.jsp, select from the list the module or modules you wish to download (it is preffered if you download the Raw ZIP file) and drag the downloaded file into BPBible Main window. The Book Installation window will appear, you can click in the information button to see the book information, click the OK button to install the book. The principal modules you have to install are: bible text, commentaries, and dictionary. But you can also install Glossaries, daily devotionals, general books, maps, images, etc. |
